What a day, started to sew early at home. Have a quilt for the Alzheimer/Parkinson org to finish. Had to meet one of the members to final the quilt appearance. She also had a quilt that I put together for her grandson (deceased by cancer at 15) memorial. Just waiting for the quilting to be finished, then I will do the binding. Meeting at noon, had to rush to the quilt shop. New fabrics and notions arrived, Lillian had those set up. Changing the shop, moving bolts of fabrics, making a craft room for bargains. Late day for the shop, quilting/sewing classes in the evening, my class cancelled, rescheduled. Mailing out the Blocks of the Month for here and Ireland to thesewingshed Hi Nikki

  2. It is a great day, sun shining with a forecast of rain in the afternoon, good for the plants and trees. Do not have to open the quilt shop this morning, it is sewing time for me. Working on a quilt for the St.Helen' Church. The quilt will hang inside the entrance of the church. 43"x72" Many members will be helping put this together.
Will show church front with past pastors pictures, many symbols, like a landscape. Hope to have pictures as we go along. Have a good all.

  3. After a day of teaching quilting, it is time for me to relax and plan for the new classes. A quilted table runner in the making of Square-N-a-Square. Basic quilting and sewing classes are a must now, many requests. Will do a fall design of a turkey next week.So good to relax.

  4. Where does the time go?? My time has shorten as my partner has a full time job. Spending the days at our quilt shop teaching, designing patterns, doing commissioned quilts, take care of customers (most important), and stocking the supplies. It always fun to greet everyone, you meet the most interesting people. One of the unusal things that I have sewn is Bean Bags for a play toss game (no beans available, so used dried corn). Until the next time, have a good day.

  5. Busy, Busy, where does the time go? The quilt shop is settling into 2010 with new classes, designs, and making pillowcases for children. We had a great work shop with the sewing and getting together, sharing the lives of other quilters. Spent part of the day at the Children Center, they have a lovely place. Have finished a quilt for St. Helen's anniversary, 90 years. "Celebration". Will post picture later. Keep well and in touch.
